I was in Mauritius recently and had two things I really wanted to do before returning home. One of them was, the 7 Cascades. With just two days remaining I was quite desperate to fit in both my to-do's! I came across Travel Hub's half-day hike to the 7 Cascades and immediately booked myself in for the early morning hike! On reflection, I preferred the afternoon hike so requested the change, which was accepted without any fuss. I was the only hiker on the day and as I was to find out later, the more the hikers, the better it is for the guide - so I was grateful my guide, Kavirath, still accepted the job despite having just me in his hike party! Kavirath was amazing! He is a local man and grew up in the area so knows every rock and root along the 7 Cascades! As he put it so wonderfully: "'this used to be my playground; now it is my office!'" He pointed out various items of interest: amongst them a mammoth termite nest and a pepper tree, to which the layman would never have thrown a passing glance unless they knew of the items! Kavirath was also flexible; I pointed out that I didn't really want to swim in the pool formed by one of the waterfalls so he suggested I instead sit in what he rightly called, the natural jacuzzi - swirling water formed as it pushed itself between rocks to cascade into a waterfall further below! That was an awesome experience. The pick-up and drop off & drive from/to my hotel was extremely comfortable; Brijesh, the driver, was polite and friendly, like all Mauritians!~ My only regret was that I didn't get a chance to do the full-day hike. I highly recommend Travel Hub/Mauritius Taxi Services for the 7 Cascades hike! Book yourself in early to avoid disappointment on missing out on this...

I cannot fault this company at all and whole heartedly recommend it should you need to travel around Mauritius. I used them twice for transfers to and from the airport, to the far North West side of the island. I booked the arrival a few days in advance on the website and paid via PayPal. The price was possibly the lowest I could find so I was a little apprehensive. As a result I didn’t take advantage of their return transfer discount, instead waiting to see if they’d be alright before booking the return trip.

On arrival at the airport the driver was waiting in a prominent position with name sign and was really welcoming. We’d booked a standard car but he offered to take care of the baggage and was chatty on the short walk to the car. Chilled bottled water was provided and throughout the hour long journey he was happily pointing out sights and explaining what we were seeing.

Impressed so much I downloaded the app while at the hotel and booked the return journey a few days later. I made a small mistake during the process so used their WhatsApp facility to ask for an amendment; this was responded to immediately and gave me the reassurance all would be fine. Indeed it was and the driver turned up on time and was so friendly.

The level of service, even before travelling, was so good it’d be my only choice on a future visit to Mauritius. Both vehicles (one a car, the other a mini bus) were spotlessly clean and in great working order. They also offer tours around the island and sight seeing trips. I have no doubt these would be as impressive and it’s a shame I didn’t have the time to try them out. Thank you Taxi...

Booked the Speed boat tour for me, my wife and child,

The transport to and from the hotel was good, on time and driver was very friendly and good.

the issues we had was with the boat trip and lunch

the boat company they use a a small company, English was not good looks very dodgy and unsafe

the worst part of this trip was Lunch:

they take you to this small island with a few make shift tents, few guys making a bbq lunch,

they plate it and each person gets one plate of Fish, with a chicken, some dry coleslaw and two small pieces of bread, no seconds, no sauce, no wipes, no napkins etc.

the people serving the lunch are unfriendly, we asked for more bread the guy just said wait and left he never came back

there is no taps, no toilets etc . not sure how clean the food is how are they washing up and cleaning the food give to us?

The advert says live music - there is none. the advert says with lunch is wine etc, there is none, the advert says there is sausages - There is none, the advert says snorkeling - there is none

my child needed the bathroom, i asked if there was one, they said use nature.

They just put you with anyone in the Boat rather then try to match groups of people that will offer the best time, we was placed with a Tour group of much older people that spoke no English, they were constantly fighting with the boat captain .

it will be better if they can arrange tours and groups with the people of similar age of holiday type so its enjoyable for everyone. like have groups and family's with kids together, because we will all want and like...
