WARNING TO ALL TOURISTS AND FOREIGNERS. Santander has added a new question requiring you to accept an artificially low exchange rate when you use your foreign-issued bank or credit card to get pesos at their ATM. In addition to their normal fee they are now ripping you off with the artificial exchange rate. I withdrew 6,000 pesos from this bank's ATM today but had to accept an exchange rate of 18.35 pesos per dollar. The official international exchange rate for today is 19 pesos per dollar. The Sanander ATM on Rio Potomac took 5,000 pesos from my account AFTER I cancelled my transaction.

Next day, I went into the Santander bank and told them what happened and the bank employee could not help me. He said I had to contact my bank.
