I had THE most incredible experience at Alegria Spa today!! I booked a Bio-Detox 50 min massage with Ana and they kindly offered me a 1hr hydrotherapy session on top of that for no additional cost. The hydrotherapy session was so so invigorating. It included 15 mins dry heat sauna, then brief cold shower, then into the steam room which has menthol vapour that feels incredible and tingly on your skin, then another brief cold shower, then a quick 2 min dip in the “cold” pool, then you go to the nice warm infinity pool that has jets and recliner seat type things in it. As much as I loved the hydrotherapy session, I loved Ana and her Bio-Detox massage even more!! I was in absolute heaven. I was a little nervous as I had never had a spa treatment before, but Ana was so incredibly kind and warm and made me feel so very comfortable. It was immediately like meeting an old friend. The bio-detox massage is a lighter touch (which was what I wanted) and I came out of there floating on air. My friends couldn’t believe how relaxed and zen I was when I returned back to the pool. I then made sure to send more people over to get the same wonderful treatment that Ana and all of the other beautiful staff at Alegria gave me. I am visiting with my daughter and we had the best experience at this spa. As soon as you enter it smells and looks amazing. Very relaxing. You are greeted by a friendly receptionist who confirms your booking. You are the led to a private waiting area that has very comfortable couches or lounge chairs, along with healthy snacks and infused water.

Our treatment was the 360 Experience and the Deconstructing Massage 80 minutes. I definitely recommend the 80 minutes because once you start, you won’t want to stop! They use a variety of essential oils that promote anti-stress and relaxation. I am a bigger lady and often find spas not accommodating or makes me feel uncomfortable, but not here. Onelia was great! Pool looks dirty. We didn’t stay in there long as it didn’t feel clean. The couple’s room had a jacuzzi but we’re not allowed to use it and they can’t give a straight answer as to why. We paid for a couple’s massage in the said room but couldn’t use the jacuzzi. Very strange. We were offered $50/person upgrade from 25-80 min massage from their staff at the beach. We tried to redeem the offer at the spa but we’re told it’s $55/person for 25min upgrade not 80min. We ended up paying $110 more on top of what we already pre-paid upon booking.
