Andrić's house is located in the center of the cultural sights of Herceg Novi, between the Homeland Museum "Mirko Komnenović" and Njegoš's classroom in the Church of St. Salvation on Topla.
It was built from 1962 to 1963, according to the project of the Belgrade architect and painter Vojislav Đokić. The Nobel laureate lived with his wife Milica Babić from 1963 to 1968. The five years of Herceg Novi's life were filled with peace and happiness: "When we were thinking about where we would build holiday homes on the sea, Milica and I easily decided on the Bay of Kotor. Very welcoming museum curator, a kind lady told us a short story about the history of the house. Lovely 30 minutes to spend there. Entrance is 4 euro and there is no parking, so you need to park your car in a garage down the street 100m. Beautiful...

The only downside for non-serbian speaking folks is that everything is written in serbian cyrilic...so since you have a lot to read inside, I guess for tourists it's not really enjoyable.
