I too have just come back from an incredible trek of the Langtang National Park, north of Kathmandu, Nepal. I was unsure of how hard this trek would be and after the first couple of days in the lower (greener) parts of the beautiful Langtang National Park, I thought it would be a walk in the park... It was not to be that easy and yet became so much more beautiful, mentally and physically challenging and so rewarding. The climb to Kyanjin Ri was a life defining moment and one that will stay with me forever. The scenery was incredible for the whole journey with a large amount of glaciers, rivers, waterfalls and huge snow-capped mountains.
The Grand Himalayas team were so good, from the very first day.. Their attention to detail, their support for the whole group, especially our eldest spiritual leader was amazing.. Thank you so much to Namgya, Indra (The Hoff), Ram (RocknRoll) and the always smiling porters that carried our large duffel bags.
I would love to go back to Nepal again and if I do, will getting in toiuch with Namgya and his team. I would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting to trek in Nepal.

Read moreWe have just come back from the most amazing tour of the Langtang area of Nepal. The trip was both mentally and physically challenging but so rewarding. It really was a life changing experience. We climbed 2 peaks in the Langtang and spent time in the incredible Gosaikunda lakes area. The scenery was awe-inspiring for the entire trip; waterfalls, glaciers, rivers and of course incredible mountains. The service we received from Grand Himalayas was brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble and they looked after our every need effortlessly. This is the second time I have used Namgya and his team to look after a large group of people (last time 21 this time 16) that I have brought to Nepal and I wouldn't choose anybody else when organising a trek. I have the utmost confidence in recommending them for anyone wanting to travel in Nepal. Be aware that this isn't an easy trip. But with effort and the support of Namgya's team a life changing opportunity awaits you in this less touristy part of Nepal. Thanks again Namgya; you are one of the most humble and amazing people I have ever...
Read moreHaving spent two months volunteering in Kathmandu, I was keen to explore the beautiful mountain scenery for a few days before my flight home. A friend recommended Sonam for this, and I am so grateful to her for this advice. I only had about a week for the trek, so Sonam suggested a shortened version of the Annapurna Circuit which was perfect for my time period. The programme allowed enough time to trek as well as to relax at the hostels and frequent lemon tea breaks! Trekking alone would have certainly been less of a joy without the company of Sonam and his thorough knowledge of the best places to stay and eat, gained through many years of trekking in the area. The trek was the perfect ending to a wonderful stay in Nepal and if given the opportunity I would readily return and complete a...
