After more than 3 years traveling the world and visiting over 70 countries, we have never had such a negative experience at an embassy as we did at the Embassy of Bangladesh in Kathmandu. Unfortunately, the behavior of the officer Mohammad Syed Hossain was the most disrespectful and unprofessional we have ever encountered.
We visited the embassy four times to apply for a visa, and each time we were told to return on specific dates, with the explanation that a simple interview was required. On the scheduled day, we witnessed several people being mistreated by the same officer before it was our turn. When we finally entered, he behaved the same way — shouted at us, refused to process our visa application, and literally expelled us from the embassy. Completely unacceptable behavior.
It is unfortunate that individuals like Mohammad Syed Hossain hold positions that so directly affect the country's image. If Bangladesh truly wants to promote tourism, it must ensure its consulates are staffed with trained, respectful, and welcoming professionals — which was the exact opposite of what we experienced. It is because of rude individuals like Mr. Mohammad Syed Hossain that many Bangladeshi people face mistreatment when traveling to Europe (which is unfair, as we later had the chance to meet many Bengalis and they are truly amazing people). Fortunately, we remain confident we’ll receive more professional treatment when applying for the...
Read moreI encountered some difficulties when I applied for a student visa at the embassy. I followed the instructions on their website and provided all the required documents, but they denied my application and claimed that my documents were insufficient. I was disappointed and confused by their decision. Later, I sought help from my consultancy service in the visa process. They charged me an additional 10000 rupees besides the visa fee, but they were able to get my visa approved within a day without me having to go to the embassy. This indicates a serious problem with the system. Consultancy can obtain the visa within a day but students cannot get it...

He actually don’t know how to behave a people. I went there for attested some of my documents which are already approved by foreign ministry of Bangladesh. All verified copies showed on online through QR . But he didn’t want to attested those and made me wait full day and put me in a embracing situation in front of others.
I think he don’t know actually how to talk in a professional space. Talk with me many times in random walking space. Don’t provided any guidelines. Nothing actually.
End of the day after thousands of dramas he done my work in...
