New World Prestons — Local services in Christchurch

Wow! Could this be the friendliest, cleanest, best new supermarket in Christchurch? The simple answer is yes! My wife, myself, and our two preschoolers started shopping here about three weeks ago and we reckon it's setting a new standard. When we first decided to give this one a go we walked through the doors into the fruit and vegetable section and were amazed at how much care and effort had gone into laying out all the produce (my first thought was "geez this is gonna be expensive"). And then to find that aisle after aisle seemed to be carried through to that high standard at the entrance, was both refreshing and mind blowing. The staff are all friendly and helpful, and include our little ones in our interactions with them. Then to get to the checkout and the cost worked out lower than our average spend at Pak n Save (with the red club card discount) and flybuys points earned, we felt as though we'd found supermarket heaven! As of writing this review - we are stoked! I recommend anyone who is dissatisfied with the usual low standard of service and products, to give this one a go - it's worth a try and I'm sure you'll have a great experience!

Really like prestons new world the staff are helpful the range of products are good but what I really like is the Buyer Brad, he ranges Will & Able eco cleaning products and for those that don't no about Will & Able they are the only 100% certified eco cleaning products in nz being plant based it is environmentally friendly, they even put the products in recycled milk bottles and it is excellent at cleaning. Wait there's still more, they also only employ kiwis with disabilities so you can support two great causes. It is more expensive than your average brand but most cleaners aren't friendly to the environment and other brands don't employ kiwis with disabilities. 20-12-22, visited the Prestons store, had my purchases, lost my New World points card, phoned and got a lovely lady who advised me that I could use the points by my phone number. Went into store made my purchase, the young man was very helpful, but had a small balance on my New World gift card to use also. There was an issue with the gift card, he called the supervisor and all was fixed, great credit to him visited around 11.20 am, he was tall, blonde hair and very polite, and did not strangle with the issue, got there in the end, the supervisor was very helpful and polite sorry did not get there names, but both a pleasure to deal...
