What an absolutely gorgeous establishment with probably the most royal seats I've ever placed my bottom on. Seriously though, the lovely Sri Lankan lady who served us was so kind and attentive and her attention to detail was impeccable. I dined with my elderly mother who was in a wheelchair and upon entering and leaving the premises the door was opened for us on both occasions. My mother was most impressed. As for the food, meals were packed with the punchy powers of a sensation of subcontinent spices. The starters were absolutely divine and gregarious in portion size. The standout dish for myself was the Chetinad chicken curry which was just an explosion of deliciousness on the palate. Thankyou so much Coriander's for putting these guys in our neighborhood. I'm not usually a fan of franchises but you guys are doing more than alright at this end of town after our wondrous experience. We look forward to returning. Our compliments to your chefs too. They are true gurus in the art of making fine and flavoursome...
Read moreWe went with a group and were disappointed with the meal in general. Onion bhaji was over fried, and lacking in flavour. The crispy chicken came on a cold plate so lost its heat quickly. It came with roughly chopped very dry cabbage with no dressing. We kept asking for the Naan bread and when it finally arrived it was not in individual servings, but two peoples orders per basket. Mine was garlic Naan but in the basket was also the cheese, and garlic Naan for another guest at far end of the table. I wasn't sure there was any garlic in the garlic Naan as it lacked flavour. Overheard table near us also mention lack of strong flavour in their meals. Also very cold sitting there at one stage, not sure if staff had left the door open out the back. Shame really for a new restaurant and hope these are teething problems. The decor was great though. Sorry guys but have had far better Indian meal flavour, price and service wise not very far from...
Read moreWe ordered online via Uber Eats on Mother’s Day as my wife wanted Indian for her Mother’s Day dinner.
We ordered Butter Chicken, Lamb Rogan Josh and Chicken Tikka Masala, with 1x Plain Naan, 2x Garlic Naan, 1x Crispy Potatoes, 1x Onion Baji, 1x Vege Samosa. ~$130 worth of food.
We placed our order at about 5:25pm. The order didn’t arrive until 6:45, by which time we had already had to make a separate dinner for our daughter who couldn’t wait that long.
Once our order arrived there was only The three curries and the rice that came with them. No onion baji. No samosa. No crispy potato. Not even any Naan. How are you supposed to eat Indian without Naan, that’s like a meat pie without sauce.
We checked with the Uber eats driver if he had forgotten a second package in his car, he had not.
To top it all off the butter chicken was cold.
There are plenty of other Indian restaurants in this part of town. We won’t be choosing...
