Kebabylon — Local services in Kaipātiki

I hope this place gets back to where it used to be. Its apparent that its under new management and staff.

This was my experience Requested a mixed kebab. Both staff members were unsure what that was at first. Eftpos was not working. Requested cash, which I agreed to get from the ATM across the road, provided they would start on the order so I did not have to wait. As I went out, heard them talk to each other implying not to start the order until I returned and paid. Went back in to confirm they would start with the order. Returned 10 minutes later as there was a queue at the ATM. Waited. Watched an order being prepared while the other staff member had disappeared to find change for a different cash client. Bare hands, no hygeine 😳 Eventually they attended me, and I was aware they had not even started as it was a new order to be processed.

By this time, I decided after asking if my order was being prepared, and they could not understand my English, it was better to just leave quietly. Which I did.

I hope things improve to previous standards. Ill be avoiding this venue for some...

Brought a lamb on rice and a lamb kabab earlier this week. This is what we usually buy and we are usually very happy with it. This time round we weren't happy at all. The lamb was very chewy and had gristles in it. The cheese we got extra, added which was $2 each wasnt melted on the kabab and wasnt grated, it was a slice... which normally in the past has been grated. For the total price $28 no combos on top and $2 each added for the cheese totalled to $32... sorry, but wasnt impressed was quality and quantity at that price . Wont be eatting...

Always buy kebab here but today I was just pulling tendons and fat out my lamb kebab, never had this before in any kebab. Someone’s been cutting corners this weekend. If that happens again I won’t be coming back. Please keep your high standards and don’t slack.
