I don't know what happened to this place it used to be my favourite indian restaurant until about June last year after that it went down hill massively I'm not sure if the original owner has sold the business to someone else or what exactly has happened but it was 10 out of 10 now i would rate it 3 out of 10 where do i start
Before when i used to order the butter chicken curry it used to he full of huge pieces of chicken and the chicken pieces were juicy and melts in your mouth now the butter chicken curry has only few pieces of chicken in it and they're tiny peices not diced properly and dry overcooked and portion is not even enough for one person the gravy used to be thick and tastey now its thin and almost watery
And i have tried to talk to workers at the restraunt but nothing was improved which is sad because loyal customers like me who has been buying from the same place for almost 3 years now don't even want to buy from the place again because i gave my feedback and nothing was improved and i feel like i am being ripped off when i pay $27 and get a plate of just gravy with almost no chicken when i used to get a proper meal for my money and not getting my money's worth from the place
Even the layout of the place has changed and the nice kiwi girl that used to work there was very helpful and understanding and the owner was a very nice gentleman i spoke with him on multiple occasions but now i don't even see him in the kitchen anymore
I hope this place get improved and goes back to how it was before because at the end of the day the you are losing loyal customers for trying to cut cost and cut corners on small things that actually make a huge difference in experience and satisfaction of customer and over all quality of the...
Read moreI had strolled in just before 12pm and ordered the one curry combo with mild butter chicken, off that bat the prices seemed pretty reasonable if not better than your average Indian as it came with a cup of chips on top of the usual curry + drink + naan.
I was curious as to when they open as I thought it was interesting they were open before 12pm, there I was met with googles recent reviews of dissatisfaction with the owner change and was now worried.
But now I can fully understand where these reviews come from… the butter chicken was pretty flavourless, definitely beaten out by your average food court indian. However, the worst part was the, “tender chicken morsels” that many Indian places advertise. Their chicken was really dry. I had no issues with the portion sizes but for me, it just isn’t worth going back.
The naan was alright and the chips were pretty average as well...
Read moreJust got an uber meal from there, I hate being critical but probably the worse take out curry I've ever had. Frozen veges are used to fill out, extremely oily and cheap tasting. Got 1/4 through before deciding I wasn't going to power through seeing I'd paid for it. I am now cooking another meal, not because I'm overly hungry, but to get that taste out of my mouth.
North of India management I wish you the best as no doubt you are a small business just trying to make a living and if changes are made ill consider but for now I have to say food was disgusting, Im not even confident in the hygiene behind it and I have no doubt I could cook better myself and I ain't flash in...
