Fun evening waiting for the balloon glow (which didn't end up happening) but an enjoyable event nonetheless and certainly a novelty for the kids being outside for dinner and also being out after dark! A map showing where the various food trucks and activities were stationed would have been good though, my son and I wandered around for ages looking for the face painting and balloon twisting (and then there was a massive line, but free [and really amazing] so not complaining too much!), and had to send my husband out to find Mao's noodle truck as I had no luck and he wanted to get some food too. Overall it was good fun - pack a blanket and/or a small outdoor shelter, low deck chairs, warm clothes, drink/s and perhaps a trundler to lug it all...

Stunning peaceful grounds to park on, $7 per person without power and $15 with power per person, special rate for couples on power. Farmer's market on Saturday and sometimes the lion's book fair. EFTPOS, cash internet banking available. Excellent staff who make you feel at home....
