ordered food on door dash asked for plain naan and garlic butter naan along with lamb rogan josh and butter chicken. all the naan was packed together so all my plain naan just had butter and garlic on it called up just to be said that its not his problem and their all the same thing to be packaged i am not happy with their service and if that is how they serve their food like that i wonder if they actually meet health and safety guidelines with their cooking and food prep. and better customer service would be appreciated instead of being told not his problem. also submitted complaint and picture...

I recently had a meal at Curry Star, and it was the worst Indian food I’ve ever had. The dishes were loaded with food coloring, making them feel far from authentic. It was a total waste of money, and I’m really disappointed.

If you’re looking for something closer to real Indian cuisine, I recommend trying the New Paradise Takeaway on High Street in Lower Hutt (near Pak n Save). This isn’t a paid promotion, just a genuine suggestion based on my experience.

Ordered mild butter chicken & medium rogan josh. Got home & discovered the butter chicken is extremely hot. Lips & throat still burning 10 mins later after a small taste (checking before sharing some to my 20 month granddaughter). Called to explain they had got our order wrong and the lady couldn't understand what we were trying to explain. A very disappointing experience. No dinner for me tonight. Normally meals are great.
