Cut back to it's essential core, this unassuming bakery produces some of the most stunningly good breads, pies and delights. I'm systematically working my way through their pies, and can report their bacon and egg leads the pack, followed by (in descending order), mince and cheese, mince, steak and cheese and their sausage roll. Yet to be graded is there beef and mushroom, which shall be next week's trip.
Their bacon and egg was made with smoked bacon, lifting a class of pie that typically follows mince pies in taste, top leading the pack through having that little bit more excitement over it's feel beef competitors.

Read moreThe pastries are so delicious. I love that the fruit in the pastries is not too sweet, it has a beautiful tartness to it. Everything I've tried is delicious - the chocolate tarte, the creme brulee tarte, the cherry crossiant, the plum plunder. Yum!
My only suggestion for improvement is that it would be helpful to have the names of the items on the inside of the store, as well as the outside of the store because when I ordered at the counter I couldn't remember what the things I wanted were called. I just had to point to the items.
