2024: Can never go past the fried chicken and chips!!!! The best in town I reckon!🤤 The place is usually well stocked with all your essential needs with ample parking outside. This place can get real busy at times. It sits in between the self service gas station and the Habitat for Humanity op shop. There are two atms available outside. There is a large park (Linton Park) a stones throw from here with a lovely walkway up to Pukehangi road in one direction or down to sunset road near the laundromat. Tonight was a bit of a bummer. We are regulars and have always enjoyed this shop. Long story short, my card declined because I was short about a dollar, tough week. Had to put back a loaf of bread (since I already had another)Anyway the young girl behind the counter thought that was funny, laughed alongside the rude customer behind us that made a smirky remark "Only in Rotorua you'll get that (loaf of bread) back". Was really embarrassing for me since I had my son with me. I just hope she can consider being a little bit quieter instead of laughing, if someone else is struggling to purchase food. Today I was verbally abused from a staff member. Told I was ugly and to find another shop. I was then spoke to very rudely and should I mentioned absuive toxic language that was very unkind. I was told that I need to shop somewhere else. Once leaving the store the same staff member gave me the fingers and was verbally abusing me as I left the store.
