Small Fish and chip shop. The fish was fresh and tasted so good, The crab sticks, spring rolls, were very good too but personally I wasnt too keen on the chips as they seemed like they were from stale potatoes. Very good value for money though and I will definitely visit there again next time I'm in Raglan

Nice food, good service, its in Raglan. Always look for where the locals shop, been told the wharf is good but when you have to que for 15mins just to get in then you know they have to be good, and gave us extra fish, will definitely be back

DONT BOTHER WASTING YOUR MONEY!!

$41.80 for 2x Small snapper, 6x Crusty Mussels, 1x Thin Potato Fritter and $5 Tasteless Chips.

First time at this place and we were excited by the smell when we recived the food. As per pricing we thought it would be great. We were totally wrong 😂 the food was horrible!!!!

Fish was so small for the price, like really? And you want to charge six buxs!!! Mussels were shriveled and dry! Potato fritter? What even did I purchase? A tissue maybe? That’s how thin it was! Chips? Idk they felt almost stale as they had no flavour and were dry.. Odd I know.

Just giving my honest opinion and that I will never return back to this “Fish n Chip” Shop.

The customer service did not make up for it either. Very poor!

Purchased the tarakihi fish and chips. Fish was NOT fresh and tasted horrendous. There was a layer of slime between the fish and batter and it also smelt really bad. My kids and myself could not even eat it and ended up throwing the lot away. (I’m nervous that the portion we did stomach is going to make us sick). Chips were terrible, over cooked and dry. Portions were good however - which I was surprised at after reading some other reviews which indicates that they are inconsistent.

Price is steep too which is to be expected in a small beach town. I don’t mind paying extra if the food was actually good.

Read other reviews and thought, this will be good. Ok, the fact that their eftpos is broken and you had to pay either cash or online and then send a screenshot should have been a warning bell. Waited over half an hour for 1 piece of snapper and chips. There were about three other people waiting for food as well. Some just gave up and went to the kebab place next door. Got my meal. The snapper? Was dry and tasted odd as in this side of off. The chips were dry and tasteless. I am surprised as some of the other reviews were great. They weren't rushed off their feet as there were three working in there. I wouldn't recommend this...
