Normally I don't give bad reviews but I can't tolerate this...
My friends and I dined in at your restaurant on Saturday night around 7:30.
We were standing at the door for a good few minutes whilst there were two waitresses standing close to us. We finally were seated and waited approx 15 mins for a menu and water. (Had to be asked) There was a waiter who was cleaning the table behind us, and walked inside in and out, walking past us a total of four times. I had to prompt for basic service.
There was a group of people who arrived after us and their orders were put through before we had even been acknowledged and received menus! There were also a couple seated behind us who eventually walked off as they had the same treatment were not offered water or menus for a significant amount of time!
I have a sensitivity to certain foods requested information on what was in the two burgers. The waiter came back, in a very surly tone and said they were too busy and couldn’t possibly be expected to see what was or wasn’t in the food. How ridiculous. Your customers should be your main priority but yet we seemed to be unimportant to you. What was asked was not difficult and should have been answered without question.
There was a table behind us (10 people ish) who were unseated, and touching our backs. My understanding is that in level red we must all be seated and separated. This was definitely not the case!
I have dined at this restaurant personally before and had excellent service (from a waitress who was not there), so I suggested your restaurant for dinner to friends as the food was great, service even better. But on this occasion it was an overall disappointing, very...
Read moreWe came to Raglan with our two little boys on Auckland Anniversary weekend 2022 and ended up having dinner here two nights in a row, and at the same booth table. The first night we were attracted by the live music and friendly customer service at the door (which included directing us to a kid's menu and offering a colouring activity for the boys). The second night, we had been wandering around for half a hour with two tired little ones trying to find a good pizza place but Raglan was really pumping (seemed half of Auckland came down with us!) and our kids settled for the familiarity of this restaurant when all others were full to the brim. Sure it doesn't have pizza and the dinner food menu is a one-pager but it makes up for that with the great customer service, charmingly Raglan-esque decor, perfect cocktails and tasty food. In particular, the gnocchi is beautiful and the chilli lime coconut cocktail tastes like being on a spicy holiday. Our kids were happy to there and the staff were welcoming of our little gremlins. We will be back next time...
Read moreOn Wikipedia and other sources, it is written that granola is a breakfast dish consisting of rolled oats, nuts, and honey, sometimes including rice, which is typically baked until crispy. I have been exclusively eating granola for breakfast for many years and know perfectly well what it should be and what it should contain. When I found granola on the breakfast menu at this café, I was very happy, although the price was quite expensive - $18. When the granola was brought to me, I was horrified and will try to describe it point by point: 1. The cup was small, and the contents in it were even smaller. 2. There was absolutely no oatmeal or any other ingredient that should be included in any granola. 3. The bowl contained 2 tablespoons of yogurt, some canned strawberry berries, and nuts, and that was the entire dish. 4. The $18 price did not correspond to the contents...
