(16/12/24) The Tokaanu Thermal Walk is a hidden gem in the heart of New Zealand's geothermal wonders. The short 20-30 minute loop is well-maintained and easy to navigate, making it perfect for all ages and fitness levels. As you stroll along the boardwalk, you'll encounter bubbling mud pools, steaming vents, and crystal-clear mineral pools, each offering a unique glimpse into the geothermal activity of the area. The serene surroundings and native bush add to the tranquility of the experience. One highlight is the calming atmosphere – it's not as crowded as other geothermal attractions, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in nature. The nearby Tokaanu Hot Pools are also a great spot to relax after the walk. This is a must-visit for nature lovers and anyone seeking a peaceful yet fascinating geothermal experience. Highly recommended!

Free walk, starts at the public pool. You will be rewarded with a few Geothermal pools and Mud pools during the short 20 mins easy walk. Best done in covered shoes as the gravel is rough. The steam from the pools would feel warm and comfortable during winter when the weather is cool.
