Hokitika's Kiwi Holiday Park and Motels — Local services in South Island

I could not rate this place enough, it is clean and affordable. The rooms have everything you need (family rooms) & the grounds are kept so tidy. We decided to take a few days off work and head for the coast, we aren’t sure what led us over this way but we are so glad we did. We explored alot, and not once did the kids say they were bored! |The tree top walk is a must! ||The playground was an absolute hit for the kids and the games room at night time, even tho it was chilly outside it didn’t stop the kids from having a blast! We always knew where they were, and that they were safe. Everyone including the workers and guests were friendly, our kids made some great friends in our stay! The shared bathrooms, laundry etc were always clean. We loved the fact they had more than one washer & dryer. Beautiful new park in Hokitika. We stayed from Monday to Thursday and enjoyed the experience thoroughly. The place is sparkling clean, the rooms are warm and have comfortable beds. The kitchen has 2 of everything - stove, microwave, fridge and big clean sinks. You can hire cooking and eating utensils for $5 or bring your own gear. The laundry on site is cheaper than the Laundromat . There is a bench for folding washing and if you have a baby the laundry tub is perfect for baby bathing if you dont want to use the baby bath they have available. There is a big all purpose room with table tennis and another tv room with comfy couches. The massive park and jumping pillow were a hit with our daughter and she spent many hours there. The campground is very well located, large, quiet and spread out. The basic cabin was very basic but comfortable, of a reasonable size and cool enough despite no screens on the windows & no fan or air-conditioning. The kitchen & dining area was adequate for those using it. It included 2 microwaves, 2 x 4 burner cooktops, 2 toasters, 2 coffee plungers, 2 double sinks and enough pots, pans, cutlery, etc. Only 3 inside tables with 4 chairs at each and number of outside tables and chairs, seemed too few for the size of the campground, but it worked.
