Paekakariki Beach — Local services in Wellington

VERY VERY VERY pretty magnificent gorgeous place to watch sunset and have a picnic by the beach. the beach was veryyyy beautiful and i love it so much. the sound of the waves were soo calm and serene. can spot Kapiti Island from the beach.

very recommended to come by here if you're in Wellington, on average its 40min drive from the city, but it is accessible by public transport. the beach is easy access and just a short walk from paekakariki train station.

Peaceful beach with eye-popping views.

Dress warm during fall and winter months; onshore winds can be fierce. During high tide you have no beach to work with but low tide gives you the opportunity to enjoy a walk, or to relax in the sand.
