Beach Road Deli — Restaurant in Wellington

Owners Hope and Izzy truly have a good thing going here and have improved the place from great to magnificent, Have been coming here for years and never been disappointed in the quality of food and customer service. The coffee is always good and consistent, There's always a great variety of foods to cater for all tastes and needs, Everything is made by scratch with top quality ingredients you can see the team working hard in the kitchen, There's quite often something new in the cabinet to try too. The Bagels and Pizzas are well worth a try always full with ingredients and toppings they are well worth the money, This place also has such a good unique vibe the staff are friendly and happy, You quite often see Hope on the front line serving and Izzy running a very busy kitchen. Madi is a great manager who often is making coffee's too, Beach Road Deli is often busy as has grown in popularity which is a great sign of a top of the line place, Highly recommend this place to anyone, Keep up the great work team. A good local spot for brunch, lunch or just a coffee. Pizzas are great, coffee excellent and cakes and salads available. The team are friendly and approachable. This cafe is popular as it is by the station next to the start of the stairway to heaven escarpment track. Well worth pulling off state highway 1, seeing the Tuatara sponsored water butt by the station and turning right across the railway crossing when travelling from the north. I would suggest staying on the old road from here to Wellington as it winds along the ocean side with fantastic views accross to south island. For those camping the local site is good with beach access 200m), clean facilities and eels in the river!

This week, I'm visiting Paekakariki to try out the Cafés in this location. Café culture is alive and well and flourishing by the look of it.

Today, I called in at the #beachroaddeli

What a lovely experience. Awesome welcome, scrumptious kai, ka pai menu, and delicious cabinet kai. The kāwhe was excellent and the smoothie yum.

I had the everything bagel, cappuccino kāwhe and a mango and passion fruit smoothie. Kai was perfect, delicious, scrumptious, beautiful.

Seating inside and out. Lovely atmosphere, great bike racks close by.

Well worth the short trip, definitely worth a revisit. You should see for yourself if you're visiting Paekakariki...
