We will place this market on 5 star.

To begin with, the market which is situated off broad street, along marina road, is enough to give the lagos undilluted market rush!!!

Aah have u been to somewhere, while being pressed for time, yet you need to get your eyes fed with maximum satisfaction?

At this market, you will not only feel the rush of adrenaline as the the traders and sellers are screaming to your face, and whinning to your ears to purchase their products, aggressively yet passively in a sweet tune to catch your total attention, if u snooze for a minute, by getting carried away, you loose by having your pocket picked of bag ripped.

It is a market in the whole of Eko, where the rush starts from when shop opens and never stops till the market closes, hence saftey measures are to be highly indulged.

Now to the fun of the market. Are u having a party, and needed an impromptu, dress party?

Take a stroll into balogun market,in your nighties and come out as a 'Rock Star' or 'Diva', meaning you will purchase your items at the snap of fingers, under less than an hour. Ranging from jelweries, clothes, shoes, bags ,weaves, make ups, headties etc.

Moreso if u engage the use of 'barander' guys, who will keep breathing into your lungs at every turn, for you to come patronize a certain customer who place them on discounts.....in fairness, the outcome can be positive as well, though more of negative tales tail out from the outcome of such encounters, as you might not be lucky enough to window shop for prices before hand, and end up paying double for your purchase!!! Of course which gives a bad taste in the mouth.

Indeed, the market is not for the week hearted, you get to pick up purchases in either wholesalers or retails according to your...

The market's maze-like layout adds to its charm, allowing visitors to discover hidden gems at every turn.

Despite its chaotic appearance, Balogun Market is a testament to the resilience and entrepreneurship of Lagosians. It's a microcosm of Lagos itself, embodying the city's dynamic spirit. While navigating the labyrinthine pathways might be a challenge, the rewards are countless, including the chance to engage with local artisans and support their crafts.

Balogun Ajeniya market is a sprawling shopping area in Lagos Island. Where assorted goods are sold and various services are rendered to would-be customers. This area spans over many streets in the idumota area of Lagos Island, comprising mostly of lock-up shops and newly modernised plazas.

Mostly, assorted shoes, fabrics, men and ladies wears and complimentary goods are sold here. They are either imported or locally sourced goods.

Due to many years of investments from both the state and local governments, the area has had a much needed uplifted outlook. Even though, from recent view, the issue of maintenance still plagues some of the streets due to water logging during raining seasons. Would-be buyers or customers should avail themselves of rain boots during raining season. As the some of streets are water logged.

Being an old market, it has attracted other non traditional services like banking, pos, small to average food vendors and other related allied products.

The market is touted to be competitive in pricing. But that's left to be seen given the distance of each prospective buyers. Which could add to the cost along witg the unquantifiable stress such persons would go through in buying and transporting the goods.

Generally, a good place...
