The market is located near the 5th roundabout at Lekki. There are many shops with various things for sale including ankara clothes, household things, nice art pieces etc. The arts pieces include sculptures, carvings, beads, fridge magnets, key holders, bags, shoes and lots more from various parts of Nigeria. A few art pieces are from other African countries like Kenya and South Africa.
Many tourists, foreigners and even Nigerians like to buy from Jakande market because the prices are relatively affordable and they can even be negotiated, as against buying from branded stores on the island.
However, the road to Jakande market Lekki is not great. It is a quite rough as it is not well tarred and in the rainy season there are puddles of water on the road. You'd have to be a bit careful when going there, but you're sure to get some...

It was not easy to locate as it is not labeled ‘Lekki Arts and Crafts Market’ in google maps. We even got some weird looks while asking for directions. We eventually found it anyways.
There’s parking outside. The entrance is not distinctly labeled.
There’s lots of leather work, wood work weaving and artworks. It’s a good place to take your visiting tourists too. Almost like the Kariaku market in Nairobi.

That's so much to see, ancient and modern. The products at the market are a mix of imported, local and made by some of the sellers.
On an afternoon, you might see them waxing down wood work with shoe polish, weaving lamp shades and carving turtles.
Most sellers are friendly, it's rarely congested, there's almost always parking and you can sit and ask questions and learn about antiques and antiquities.
