A Botanical Paradise in the Mountains This mountain garden is a truly fantastic place to visit, offering an incredible display of nature's possibilities. While I suspect many of the vibrant flowers and botanical delights aren't native, it's absolutely lovely to see the sheer variety of plants that can thrive in this warm, humid climate. The sheer diversity here is the star โ you'll likely spot numerous plants you'd love to grow in your own garden back home, but probably can't due to their specific climate needs. It feels almost unfair how beautifully they flourish here! The plant life is genuinely incredible, and that alone makes the trip worthwhile. As for the additional elements, like the giant hand or the painted scenery, I didn't mind them; they simply weren't necessary to enjoy the garden's natural beauty. They did, however, playfully remind me of my childhood in Germany, where gardens often incorporated little whimsical features. While those German gardens were typically more intricate, sometimes even featuring miniature LGB trains, these larger, more permanent fixtures still evoked a similar, nostalgic charm. Overall, it's absolutely worth the drive up to this unique cultivated hillside. Entry was very affordable, perhaps around 100 pesos, making it an accessible and delightful experience for anyone who appreciates the beauty and variety of plant life. Important Note on Facilities: You've probably noticed that people in the Philippines often relieve themselves wherever they are, even in traffic in Cebu or on the side of the road facing oncoming cars. It's important to be aware that this garden charges 10 pesos to use their comfort rooms (CRs). Just be forewarned: once you're at the bottom of the hill, you really won't want to walk back to the top; it's a pretty...

Getting there was a bit challenging because of the mountain road. My father's driving skills were put to the test because of all the uphill climb. The place is pretty easy to find with Google Maps or Waze. You won't get lost. On the way, you'll pass by Temple of Leah and Tops. You can visit them on the way back.
The garden is a quaint little piece tucked along the mountainside. You need to pay P100 (P80 for seniors) for the entranxe fee. If you have a car, you need to pay P20 for the parking. I was expecting flowers in full bloom here and there but the plants were in different stages of life and death. A lot of the flowers, the sunflowers, particularly, were all wilted, wilting, or dead. It was too bad because I was looking forward to see them. The other plants were also pretty small so I guess they're still growing.
The garden has a spots deaigned for phot ops. You can take your pick from the dozens of small areas, each with their own little charm. My favorite spots were the viewing deck, the windmill and the lavender field. There are others but these were the ones where the air was coolest so I really enjoyed it. ๐
You also need to put on sunblock when you go there. The weather was perfect for taking photos but it was a "tiis ganda" moment because the sun was so hot. But the pictures turned out great so...
