I recently hiked up Ligñon Hill Nature Park in Legazpi and was blown away by the sweeping views of Mayon Volcano, Legazpi City, the airport, and Albay Gulf from the summit deck. The paved spiral road up is manageable by foot in about 20–30 minutes, or you can drive if available. On arrival, I strolled through the landscaped promenade, rode the zipline, and checked out the historic Japanese tunnel. The cool breeze and panoramic vistas made everything worth it. Staff were friendly and there were little snack stalls and souvenir shops at the top. Best time to visit is late afternoon sunset paints the volcano and city lights below sparkle as evening falls.
