We were aiming for Death Pool, but it took us til night to reach Cabongaoan and I'm glad that we did. There are resorts to choose from, but Roven's Place was the most humble and hospitable that we could find. They let the guests borrow cooking materials, they've got a mini store, a few nipa rooms, clean and simple rest rooms, a lot of cottages, but we decided to just pitch a tent and they have provided us the best spot available which was under two huge coconut trees, facing the beach.
The owner gave us a brief description of the beach. It turns out that the beach changes it forms depending on the season. Amihan and Habagat determines the look of the beach, the height of the sand and if the sand bad would be clearly seen.
We visited Cabongaoan on the 17th of January. Looking from the shore, the water looks deep, but the whole thing is actually like a huge natural pool which is good for those who can't swim and for the kids as well.

Let's begin with the road going there. The road is being fixed when we've been there. It's a bit challenging for motorcylcle riders/user like us. It has been hard for us to figure out where will be our parking is. But for those who will book in the hotels there, it'll be easier. The people there are approachable that's why we've found a place to park, because of that one "ate" who let us park in their backyard for free. 😊 The water is cold and the beach area is clean. The place is quiet, and it is better to go there when its not peak season (according to the locals). Camping at the beachfront is allowed (ofcourse we should maintain its cleanliness). Bringing your slippers is A MUST. Especially when you decided to see the Death Pool. The Death pool is really deep, but inside, you could see clearly the group of fish there.
It's a long and challenging ride going there but the experience is so rewarding moreso, if you witness the sunset and sunrise. ❤️❤️❤️
I suggest that around the beach, they should sell slippers for...
