Ria Shopping — Local services in Olhão

I've been visiting often. It's small compared to giants such as the Algarve Shopping in Guia, Albufeira, the Forum Algarve in Faro or the new Mar Shopping near Loulé but it has its charms.

Highlights:

The Olhão's International Clinic, the best health centre I've been to in years, that coordinates with the Hospital of Loulé, also very well organised;

A little place in the food area where you can eat fresh, healthy food. The lounge areas are nearby;

One of the optics shops, AlainAfflelou, where I bought 2 prescription glasses for the price of one;

The chemist;

And last but not least the Jumbo shopping area where you can find local produce and other food stuff that you can't find anywhere else. Top quality for cheap price tag.

Anyway,...

OK as far as shopping centers go. Lots of parking and a good smattering of all the stores usually found in centers. Upper floors have lots of vacant spaces that could be leased to artisans to give the shopper a more rounded experience. Totally wheelchair friendly. Clean washrooms. Amazing robotised farmacia. The mall is small but generally ok, some shops, a supermarket, some fast food and a gym.

The worst part though that gets the one star is the CINEMA. Is the worst cinema I have ever been. Very small screening rooms and the other people, mostly teenagers were talking through the whole film. The sound is so bad that even though the movie was loud, you can only hear the other people talking loudly. Ruined my evening and the film. Worst...
