I was on the same painting holiday with Susan, at the end of March. Dora made sure we all enjoyed our holiday and improved our painting abilities. A room was set aside for us to work in and we even held a mini exhibition at the end, complete with nibbles and drinks. Dora carefully chose places for us to visit and paint outdoors, such as beaches and the local market. Colum and the other staff made us very welcome with good fresh food and wine. There was a very relaxed atmosphere and the courtyard was a sun trap, so even had a dip in the pool. Olhao is a pretty place with cobbled streets and a harbour promenade with restaurants and bars is a 5-10 minute stroll from the villa. Transfer to Faro is approx 15 minutes. Read moreAs a family we rented Casa Rosa, right in the centre of Olhao. We enjoyed being in the town as you felt safe and everything was on our doorstep. We found some lovely places to eat, very reasonably priced. Our personal favourite was the ice cream parlour near the sea front which we visited regularly. As a family we had a great time and i’m sure...
Read moreCasa Rosa is extremely welcoming. The staff are sensational with the best smiles in all of Olhao. Clearly they are proud of their work.
The rooms are very functional and spotless. The beds very comfy. The breakfast buffet offers a wonderful selection of croissants, breads, cheeses, meats and fruits. Don't forget the local yogurt. The staff will happily bring you coffee of your choice always hot and delicious.
If you are lucky enough to have lunch and dinner at Casa Rosa you will enjoy local food impeccably prepared with the freshest ingredients. The villa boasts a lovely pool and exquisite upstairs area for lounging.
The location is perfect as you can't get lost. Security is great as a key is necessary to get into the property and another for your room.
Thank you Casa Rosa Villa owners and staff for your care, kindness and never-ending smiles.
