We have been on St Lucia for 2 weeks and had some wonderful experiences, this was not one of them ,from a distance this looks wonderful, pretty bay with expensive yachts ,blue water ,and getting a little 30secound boat to a sandy island sounds great but the sandy island is crowded ,dirty, people selling overpriced sport activities, very small beach covered in sunloungers ,very small swimming area (which is cloudy and when I wore my goggles I could see all the rubbish on the sea bed )because of all the boats coming in and out and as for the restaurant, bad food , awful service you wait so long for every part of your meal from drinks to bill that a huge part of your day is waisted . Go else where ,if you want to see it take a boat journey they usually go pass to show you it at a distance ,best...
Read moreWorst experience of my trip! We stayed 3 days in Rodney Bay and took a water taxi to Soufriere for the last week of our stay. Wanted to see Marigot Bay so we stopped to have lunch there on the way. We docked at the public beach and were swarmed by locals who convinced us to forego lunch at Doolittle's and "eat local". Our meal was a 4 oz. piece of Mahi, a cup of rice, a small salad, and some local veggies. Mediocre and a $10.00 meal at best. For 4 meals and 4 drinks the charge was $102 and we left a generous tip. They then had the nerve to come back and say we still owed for 2 more meals and tried to bilk us out of another $60.00, which we did not pay. Please, if you go to Marigot Bay, stay in your boat and enjoy the scenery, but STAY AWAY FROM THE...
Read moreMarigot is a beautiful marina. It has that true luxury resort feel. The views of the island from the docks and mooring areas are stunning. The staff are friendly and helpful. The bay also has pretty deep water. Iâm not sure how deep, but they get larger motoryachts and sailboats. The amenities and restaurants are close to the actual docks. The spa, a nice restaurant and a posh pool are at one end. The marina village is at the other end. They have a casual restaurant, beachy shops and a store with basic provisions. Fuel dock and watersports are just next door. There are two more pools and a few restaurants in the actual resort, which is gorgeous at night. Definitely worth...
