There is something about these futuristic monuments that is worth a while to go and visit them. The communist government of the former Yugoslavia built monuments in places of important historical events from WWII to recognize the ideals of freedom, sacrifice, resistance and unity. Tito and his comrades did this in a very unusual way, by building huge, out-of-this-world like, futuristic, post-modern, concrete symbols.
