We were very excited for this, but felt unimpressed when we actually rode it. The ride is supposed to be an "8", but is actually an "S", and you go back the way you came. The PA system is horrible - poorly timed. Half of it is running when you're in tunnels and the engine noise totally drowns it out. The worst, though, was that the speakers are old and burnt out, and the screeching interference/feedback was unbearable. The view would be nice, but the trees block it 95% of the time. On the way back you stop at a few viewpoints but even they weren't very interesting, and by the third one hardly any passengers got out to look.
The train ride from Užice to Čačak is much, much nicer and more enjoyable. Stay in Užice and take...

It's pretty much just an old trains , that loops around a nice area. In theory, not bad. In practice: About half of the time is spent in tunels where you can't see any thing. They oversell tickets, so it's very crowded and many people need to stand for a few hours. Most of the staff only speaks the local language.
tl;dr: All that really isn't worth the price, essentially, what you are buying is a few minutes to take pictures at the middle stop...
Read moreIt could be a nice ride but the speakers are really loud and when it's not giving you some history it's playing some awful music. Couple this with the fact that half the journey is in tunnels where you get a nice lung full diesel fumes (and can't see anything obviously), and by the time you arrive at the last station you're wishing you didn't have to go back. The way back is worse as they stop several times. If you absolutely have to go then make sure you take your seats as soon as you can as it...
