Compliment for Exceptional Service – Suntharam & David (FairPrice Finest @ Wisteria Mall) I would like to sincerely commend two outstanding staff members — Suntharam and David — for their exceptional service on 15 May 2025 at around 3 PM at FairPrice Finest, Wisteria Mall. To give some context, I had not been patronising FairPrice for many years due to a past negative experience at Sun Plaza back in 2006. Since then, I’ve avoided FairPrice entirely. However, after moving to Yishun, FairPrice Finest at Wisteria Mall became my nearest grocery option, and I gradually returned as a regular patron — albeit with initial hesitation. Over time, my perception changed thanks to the quality of service I received, especially from Suntharam and David. On that particular day, I was unfamiliar with the store layout and had several items on my list I couldn’t locate. David not only kindly responded to my enquiry but personally walked me to the exact spots where the items were shelved. For items he was unfamiliar with, he suggested I speak with Suntharam. When I approached Suntharam and showed him the item I was looking for, he immediately paused what he was doing — without hesitation — and personally went to find and retrieve the item for me. His helpfulness made my experience completely effortless. Both David and Suntharam went above and beyond what I expected, showing genuine care, patience, and dedication to customer service. Because of them, I now feel welcomed and valued as a customer — a stark contrast to my earlier experiences. They truly changed my impression of FairPrice.

5 stars for butcher: Tiong Lian Food Pte Ltd FairPrice Finest used to have Swiss Butcher. Unfortunately they closed it for few months. Recently I decided to check out if it have reopened and I was pleased to see they have. However, when I approached the stand, I was informed that the company responsible for meat is now: Tiong Lian Food Pte Ltd. 99 out of 100 times it wouldn't matter to you or me: a casual customer.

This WAS NOT one of these times.

I was served by Albert.

And since I know his name, you may probably already guessed where is this story heading, as rarely customers ask for the names of people who provide us with services / products. Usually it happens only in two cases: either very good or a very bad. I asked for brisket, but since I like to portion the meat myself, Albert informed me that he will order a whole piece for me so I can come by in few days and check it out. Meantime he recommended a beef leg meat, which I noticed was exceptionally well trimmed so I went for it. It turned out to be good choice. Few days after (which is today) I collected the brisket. And that's where 5 star service sealed the deal. Albert not only trimmed the meat for me, portioned it as I requested and vacuum sealed it, but he did it in a way making me feel like I've been his customer for years already. He helped me carry the meat to the counter and let me keep the trimmed fat instead of charging me for it or throwing it away (as many other butchers do in SG) - that's called an extra mile. I definitely will be coming back and recommending it to other carnivore...

Small fairprice with nice items. Although the items here are slightly limited than other fairprice finests. The packness is also a problem as during peak hours, the queue for the cashier can go from one end of the store to the other. The self check in counters also do not help reducing the crowd at the cashier as the self check in counters can only be used by shoppers using baskets. The trolleys here are also quite tall and without a bottom so you can only fit about 2 and a half full baskets in there. So if you are shopping for a family you definitely need more than 1 trolley and also considering the limit in items they sell, it is better to go to other bigger fairprice finests...
