Went for a gel manicure on 9 March, and less than a week later I already experienced lifting from the gel polish (on the free edge AND on the nail bed, indicating poor nail prep). Was already quite shocked when she took out cuticle cutters from a UV sanitizer machine that had the switch turned off. There were many other items in the machine, not all mail related so it looks like a storage space instead. The service I got was maybe one of the worst I received - when I had to put my hand into the UV lamp the nail artist would tap my hand instead of speak to me (she would talk to other customers instead). Midway through nail prep, I asked her to match the length of my nails to my thumb which was currently the shortest. To my horror, she took a nail clipper and clipped my thumb, making it even shorter than the rest and said ālike that?ā in a very annoyed tone. After she was done shaping, I asked her to clean up the shape of my nails since it was still quite messy and not even at all. She looked at me quite shocked, and said she hadnāt even started on the shaping. I was slightly embarrassed and let her carry on. She mildly shaped them afterward, and immediately started putting the gel base coat. At this point, my nails were still poorly shaped and not up to the standard that their other reviews reflect. The design I went for was the glazed donut style, priced at $78 ($38 for normal gel, $30 for the chrome). Not worth my money at all. Really not sure why they get such good reviews when I had a terrible...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent for the $48 head spa and an additional ear cleaning service. The whole session felt EXTREMELY rushed, like they were just ok im gonna complete the tasks / steps at hand so the quality and attention to details were non existent. The ear cleaning service was NOTHING like the video they showcased on their television, there were no feathers used, no use of the sensory objects to sooth the tactile senses before ear cleaning, NOTHING. They went straight to poking your ear and trust me they went DEEP. Was so afraid I would be deaf for a moment. The head spa was alright but the movements were rather rushed and half effort. I have been to a few head spas even to those who Charged the same price as their $48 and trust me the others werenāt as rushed as this. Well, I would wanna give this place another shot just to see whether thereās any difference with my recent past experience but rlly⦠this experience was just⦠sad :( I brought my dad to pamper him as well but the Pamper wasnāt at its peak. Paid $166 in total as well, oh and the hard selling of the package, can really come in batches so get ready. Told them no to the package but one by one each staff came to me and kept urging me to buy the package since I have...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWanted to try their Aqua Head Spa for the longest time & finally I did today. It's definitely an overhype in Tik Tok (don't trust everything you see in Tik Tok).
Good The only part I enjoyed was the cleaning of the ears. You thought the water is gg to be stuck in your ears but they got it out and your ears would feel clean.
Disappointing Was looking forward to a relaxing scalp massage but I didn't get any. I felt more massaging on my face and merely washing of my hair. As feedback to them at the end of my session, my hairdresser could give me a much better scalp massage than them.
The signature water head spa detox is also disappointing. It felt like water droplets raining on your head and nothing spectacular or relaxing about it.
The ambience of the place is below par too. I could hear my therapist whispering/chatting/laughing now and then. The beds are all laid in one big room with only curtains separating them. Somehow I don't feel too clean or comfortable.
The location is not convenient unless you are staying near. Parking is limited too.
With the steep prices ($161 for 2 of us), inconvenient location and nothing-to-cry-for service, I'm not going back, nor would I recommend...
