I am making a review for Lagun Sari Kitchen at JTC. I already made a pre order on the 2nd of March 2025 to self collect today 30th March 2025 at 5pm. I reached there 4.45pm for self collection and waited till 6pm to finally get my order. 1hr 15mins wait, just to collect an order that was made one month ago. There was a long queue of people waiting to collect at 5pm too. But during this time the staff were rushing order for their lalamove delivery drivers . And nobody attended to us(self collect) until all the delivery orders were finished. Why cant you make a seperate section where people who self collect, can collect their order and another section can settle the delivery orders esp during high volume orders like today? Even macdonalds does this. From my observation, the staff movements were very messy. Even when the self collect orders were about to be given. I waited and only got my order at 6pm. In between there's a staff who came out and apologized, told that they had to cook more chicken and offer free mutton to compensate our long wait. I think this is a good gesture by them. But what is disappointing was some of my orders are wrong! The guy who came out and gave my order kept saying "everything is inside,everything is inside". I roughly check the containers and quantity does tally but when I got home there some wrong orders! My sambal sotong order was replaced with sambal udang, my boneless ayam masak merah was replaced with ayam masak merah gula melaka. I prefer to get my orders right rather than getting free mutton. I contacted them through whatsapp, the rep told me all their drivers are out. I offered to return to get my sambal sotong, but the rep said there's none left and all staff are preparing for their own iftar. I appreciate that the replies were fast and I was offered a refund for the sambal sotong. Put yourselves in my shoes, do you like it if this happens to you? I also want to have the correct order for my iftar and raya for my family. With all that been said, I have to be fair your food is 10/10 delicious. But I have to write this so that you can improve on your service. This is not your first time taking orders for Raya. I want to order from you in the future provided I wont go through all these again. But how do I know these wont be repeated? Last picture is the last mintute job compensation free...
Read moreWe held our wedding at Lagun Sari Bukit Timah, Majestic Hall and we are really happy with the service. Like it’s name, the hall was majestic in its own way especially with the addition of dry ice and dimmed lighting. Even the dressing rooms were comfortable and soundproof which allow both the bride and groom to have time to relax before the walk ins.
Our coordinator, Neshah, was really helpful as she responded to our queries promptly as well as accommodate accordingly to our requests. She even stepped up and gave a variety of suggestions to help make our wedding day more magical. This includes ensuring that there are spaces for our 360 camera photo booth and our live band. She also highlighted the best route for us to walk in with our kompang. She also allowed us to put our hantarans and doorgifts the day before our actual event. This move actually helped us a lot as both of our families are able to travel light on the wedding day itself. We are really glad to have her as our coordinator!
Simon, our chef for the day, was extremely helpful and even checked in on us occasionally throughout the wedding to ensure that we are well fed. He even ensured that the food we are were warm. Although we do not have the luxury of time to savour our meal, we are glad that we picked the right dishes and finished most of the food that was served to us especially Beef Rendang Bugis and Pengat Pisang Sago. On top of that, our guests shared with us that the food was extremely delicious and we do not regret adding a Roti Jala live station and Stir Fry Butter Prawns for them. Some even went to take second servings.
Overall, we felt that the price is reasonable for what we requested and we even topped up for some of their services. To all the future bride and grooms, do consider Lagun Sari Bukit Timah as your venue as they are able to accommodate to...

Hello. I had my wedding on 12/12 last year. On the very day itself from the first look, things were going great. However, it seems like salesperson Laila was out to ruin my wedding.
We booked the slot before Covid worsened. It was the early stages then. There was a promo that included many things like 2 outfits, DJ, it was also supposed to be buffet. Forward few months later, she suddenly told me I had to pay extra for clothes 2 MONTHS BEFORE my wedding even AFTER I KEPT ASKING HER what are the changes in the packages. Suddenly, no DJ, no buffet (which is understandable) but during our f2f meeting she clearly told myself, my husband, my sister and my mother there will be BERKAT - CUPCAKE IN A BOX. So I DID NOT PREPARE anything. On my wedding, she didn't prepare the cupcakes. When my family asked her, she just "slambe" said "Takde." Wow rude much. Added embarrassment to my family and I.
During the wedding preparations, she didn't provide us any updates and we had to chase her for updates. Even then, she didn't give us proper answers.
I am extremely upset and disappointed in her. She did compensate us with free food after the wedding and while food was amazing, it couldn't fully compensate for the distress she put through me before and during my wedding.
But I have to say, Ashclusive, which is the bridal under them, was spectacular and I will rate Ash and team 10/10.
Food was delicious too.
