Old Chang Kee — Local services in Singapore

Food is decent and their fried chicken wings are good as usual. The 1 star is for the terrible service. Went twice in the last 6 months and was served by the same staff - one of the worst f&b experiences in Singapore for me.

1st visit- asked for price of a sotong ball - an item present in every single outlet since forever - and her response was: "I don't know the price. If you want to buy then I'll key in and you will find out, otherwise don't ask me." When asked to make wireless payment she gave an audible grunt of unhappiness, took more than a minutr to set up and when I tapped my card upon seeing the instructions on the card reader she snapped: "you wait, I never tell you to tap why you tap? I told you to wait right?"

The only reason for my second visit was to claim the voucher using the OCK app. When I presented the e voucher she insisted that it only qualifies for one type of curry puff - despite the voucher stating specifically it was good for curry/sardine/chicken mushroom. After I followed her instructions to claim the voucher, she claimed that the voucher did not work and made me pay for the curry puff even though the transaction was already recorded on my OCK app. She even claimed: "so cheap already also must complain".

I hope OCK does a better job in helping their employees upgrade and improve. I hate to see an old favorite of Singaporeans losing market share simply because of...

Went there to buy OCK at 6th August on the afternoon, asked employee for new NDP "Say Cheese" set. The employee said that there was no set for that and that I have to individually choose the food. I went on to confirm if it was a mix and match cup set, then she replied, "See what you pick and what you pay." She was very impatient and impolite and ignored me and served the next customer which was a young boy, took order and took me transparent. More customers came and took me as if I was cutting the queue. So I had no choice but to pay for the wrong order. I paid her by cash and she returned the change into a tray, expecting me to collect it myself without informing me and continued to serve other customers. This was the first time I have ever received such impolite service from Old Chang Kee. Hope Old Chang Kee will do something to this situation. 20 September 2022 1 star doesn’t suit them at all. Should 0 star instead. Their service is super lousy. Standing in-front of the Lavender branch store for at least 3 mins. 1 skinny aunty doing so-called admin job (rated this aunty for 0 score for many reasons, doesn’t fit to do salesperson) another one doing kitchen job.
