OWNDAYS ION Orchard — Local services in Singapore

Terrible customer service from a hasty, aggressive salesman (who i’d assume is the store manager as I had seen him around during previous visits). Walked up to me and said I look “very serious” and suggested that I get a pair of glasses that made me look “less serious, more friendly”. I took it with a pinch of salt the first time, however he kept coming back to me and showing me different designs that will make me “look very much friendlier”. That was the limit as I felt as though he was asserting his (personal and unnecessary) opinion over me. Joked and replied “what do you mean by I have to look friendlier?” To which he replied “you look so serious now it’s not a good look”... uhhhh!!!!??? Is this how u sell to your customers???? I was interested in getting a new pair but I think I have to visit another outlet instead. Never felt so uncomfortable and appalled by a retail staff before. Made specs here last Sunday, however they did not have my lens in stock and my specs could only be ready a few days later. I requested to pickup at Suntec outlet and the staff said sure, no problem. Before I left the shop, I confirmed again that the pickup location is Suntec, and they said yes. Today I went to Suntec to collect, and they mentioned that they received no information from Ion Outlet about my specs, and that it is available for collection at Ion. They claimed I did not mention that I would like to collect at Suntec outlet.

If I didn’t mention, why would I go to Suntec to collect it? Made a wasted trip, extremely disappointed at ion outlets service. Furthermore there were 3 staff assisting us, can’t believe all 3 missed it out.

the best owndays in singapore and probably the most sneaky one. its not as large as other branches but the staff here are super friendly and kind and helpful. i walk in and ask the staff whether he can repair my specs and he did it immediately (for free of course) i actually didnt buy my specs at that branch but its so sweet that you can repair it at any owndays branch. very consumer-friendly. and the repair is very professional and he even cleaned the lens which i didnt ask for at all but the position is so sneaky. its not in the ion orchard main building but on the corridor (linkway) between ion orchard and Tang. and the entrance to the corridor from ion orchard is inside the MRT station and there isnt really any sign board... the digital board guard is so bad completely no use. but anyway this ownsday branch is super...
