Would give zero stars but google doesnāt allow that.
The sales assistant who approached to help me find my Dior foundation shade match was friendly at first glance, but turned out to be colourist. Despite stating my preference for a natural match, she insisted I chose a lighter shade. She picked a few shades for me to try and all of it was way too light. Eventually she chose something that was my match. However she made racist comments and insisted I chose a lighter shade that wasnāt suitable for my skin tone so that I wonāt look dark like āIndianā, implying that darker skin tones were undesirable.
After that she offered to help me apply an eyebrow pencil that I was considering. However she was extremely heavy handed and couldnāt even apply the makeup properly. I ended up having to redo the eyebrows to asses the product. By this time Iāve already lost her trust in her makeup skills and ended up not getting the eyebrow pencil despite really liking it.
She followed me around the store which made the experience very uncomfortable. Given the option I wouldnāt have bought the foundation because it was difficult to trust her judgement after the racist remarks, trying to insist on a lighter shade, and her inability to apply an eyebrow pencil. Thankfully there was another sales assistant who helped to confirm that the foundation shade was indeed a match for me.
Anyway pretty shocked that Sephora hires people who has a shallow and racist view of beauty and doesnāt know how to apply makeup for different skin tones and facial shapes. Was expecting a better experience since this is located in a touristy location. Would never come...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreBy far the worst sephora outlet store i have visited, staffs there was very rude and treated fellow singaporeans completely different from foreigners. This is my story, what happened was i was actually looking through fenty beauty foundation and wanted to find the perfect shade for myself. However, despite the staff seeing me, I waved and asked for help, by the way, but nobody approached me. What pisses me off the most was, the same staff actually approached the foreigner and followed her asking if she needed help when the visitor already said its fine. What kind of a attitude is this? Am i any lesser than them? Was it my tee shirt and shorts that made them think i cannot afford the products? The people working in this outlet is extremely rude, nobody smiled and greeted me when i walked in but i see them treating other foreigners differently! The staffs there are extremely bitchy and they talked bad about customers in chinese, as im not one so i dont understand what they meant but my friend who is half chinese told me they were bad mouthing about another customer. Seriously.. will not visit again, definitely not recommended at all, people who want to visit sephora try ion one its better, bigger and staff working there are so much more friendlier and more...
