I recently visited SHAW @ Lot 1. The venue itself is aesthetically pleasing, with a modern design and comfortable seating that truly enhances the movie-watching experience. The seats were a highlight, providing excellent comfort throughout the film. the audio and visual quality were top-notch, delivering a cinematic experience that lived up to expectations.
However, my enjoyment was tempered by a recurring issue that became quite distracting during the show. The employees (those wearing the shaw uniform) seemed to have a habit of opening and closing the theatre door multiple times throughout the screening. This not only let in disruptive light and noise but also momentarily took away the immersive atmosphere of the movie. it is disappointing when such a minor but persistent issue can impact the overall enjoyment of a film.
I hope that the management can address this concern, perhaps by providing additional training for staff or implementing a policy to minimise door activity during screenings.
Despite the hiccup, i would still recommend giving SHAW @ Lot 1 a try, as the positives certainly outweighed the negatives, and I remain optimistic that the management will take steps to enhance the overall...

Rating Breakdown:
⢠Service: 5/5 (Friendly and helpful staff, went above and beyond)
⢠Ambiance: 4/5 (Clean and comfortable, good air conditioning)
Overall: 4/5
Donkey and I were in the mood for a movie treat, and we decided to cycle from Punggol to Jurong Jem for the movie. Unfortunately, we found out that the cinema was closed down. We decided to head to Choa Chu Kang Lot 1 Shopping Centre to catch a movie at their Shore Theatre instead.
When we reached the theatre, it was a small counter, but the lady server was very kind and helped us pick a movie time that was closest to what we wanted. We got there around 6 PM, and there was a movie starting at 6:40 PM.
After the movie, a really nice worker from the theatre guided us to the lift because the escalators were only going up, and we needed to get our trifold bike down to level 1. He even pointed out the exit that was only for theatre patrons. We good experience in this theatre. The air conditioning within the theatre was...
Read moreIf I could have given this a zero star, it would have been that for me. The staff, for one, are completely obsessed with customers bringing outside food into the cinema. The staffâs rude tone was offputting, demanding us to either finish the food we intended to bring in, or to store it at a random shelf in the corner behind the booth. Entering the cinema with a lack of good impression, my friend and I tried to be more positive, hoping that the experience would be an enjoyable one. However, halfway through the movie progress, it lagged for a few seconds, something weâve never encountered at other cinemas. We too, after reading the multiple bad reviews on this branch, feared that the staff would come in every 10 minutes if they caught us eating outside food. Of course, this would have definitely happened if they caught us eating from their CCTV cameras, given the staffâs bad attitude. We felt quite uncomfortable due to the staffâs creepy stares at us. Should have gotten the staffâs name though đ Definitely will not visit this branch...
