Panic Room is the place to go for a no fuss, high quality, value for money and enjoyable haircut. Yes โ haircut and enjoyable sound awkward together. How enjoyable can a haircut be? Ask Jon. Iโve been cutting with Jon @ Panic Room for 8+ years now, and thereโs good reason I keep going back. Jon knows that different people have different hair/scalps, and gives great advice on what style would suit each of us. Canโt force a Mohawk on someone whose hair wonโt grow straight, yes? Jon also bears in mind what you want as a customer, and engages in great conversation through the whole process.
Panic Room, and Jon in particular, has also catered to my changing needs over the years. Coming out fresh from NS and need something crazy? Sure. Moving on into the workforce and need something professional? No sweat. Things are getting mundane and we need a slight change? Pronto. Thatโs what has kept me going back to the Panic Room and Jon. Whatever it is that you need, Jon will do his best to understand and deliver without fail. I literally have not had a haircut with Jon where I have walked out disappointed.
The Panic Room also respects your time. 10 minutes late and your slot is cancelled. Why? Because you donโt want to be the one waiting 10 minutes to an hour for your haircut. I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes for my turn, as long as I show up on time for my appointment. Panic Room knows that as much as we enjoy our time at their place, we have things to see to and matters to attend to. And they make our appointment as seamless as possible, by keeping a strict policy on no-shows and latecomers.
In short, in need of a good, clean cut with minimal fuss and maximum efficiency and professionalism? Call the Panic Room. And call Jon. Jon is the man. Jon has been the man for...
ย ย ย Read moreDon't get why everyone praises this place. I paid 40 $ for a regular haircut. After showing the barber a picture of my last haircut to give him an idea of what I want he started cutting without asking any further questions, later complained that the pictures were bad and the last hairdresser did a worse job than him! Why did he not say anything before starting to cut? 80% of the ~45 min cut he was using a hair clipper going over the same places. I am used that hair stylists do the rough cut on the sides and back with a clipper and then switch to scissors to make the fine work. This one just went up and down. Had to ask him to correct some protruding edges. I was never sure if he was finishing and I should say something or he would still continue. No communication from his side. Therefore when he was finished I told him that I want it shorter and he started cutting again. Also one big point is that they don't wash your hair. Seems pretty odd to me. In the end the place might appeal to some people because of its style and pomade selection but in my opinion the hairdressers lack skill and retro does not mean good. Considering that I paid 40$, this is not acceptable. Maybe they are used to cutting only one type of hair style but again not for 40$ and they should have told me. The counter staff was...
ย ย ย Read moreHad 2 cuts over the last couple of months. Like the cut and the Barbers. But their customer management for appointments leaves a lot to be desired! Had my appointment today and was running a little late. Was informed that the grace period was 10 mins. When I got there was told almost immediately that the barber couldnโt see me for fear of delaying next customer which was 45mins later. And I was there for a trim and neatening! Realised that getting an appointment with them is extremely difficult and requires at least 10 days advance planning. And their adherence to appointments is extremely strict. So no exceptions and accommodation.
Sent them a WhatsApp message to express my disappointment only to receive a reply that I will be missed and they could recommend another place to me! Extremely patronising for them to say they value feedback but โsee yaโ. Customer management leaves a lot to be desired and I will not go back for a cut. Usually establishments try to get and hold customers. They clearly feel they have more than enuf customers so they have the upper hand. I guess it the curse of being popular! Hopefully it lasts but it usually never does. The day will come when customers like me will be needed. Oh well! Good...
