Best Spa Getaway, A MUST TRY SPA
Environment - 4.5/5 Service - 5/5 Massage - 4.5/5 Location - 5/5 Product - 5/5
Booked with the Spa Team for a getaway and birthday celebration 1 week ago with my parents. Spa Team was very thoughtful and prepared the couple room for my parents, and even got us chocolates for the birthday. Spa Team was also very honest and refunded us the extra amount I paid in advance after informing us that they had some changes in pricing.
Giving the environment 4.5/5 stars: Pros Interior is unique and relaxing. They have bathroom to rinse and clean yourself if you're keen for, after the treatment. The nearest washroom is outside (mall washroom) which is rather big but require you to exit the store first.
Cons Store is slightly small (if there is more than 6 - 7 customer, might be a bit packed but the outside of the store is also air-conditioned, and has great spacing as an alternative) Does not have personal washroom.
Giving the Service 5/5 stars: Pros The service is great, staff will chit chat with you while waiting for your appointment slot and waiting for your friends/family. Constantly check in on you during treatment to ensure you are comfortable Prepared for celebration of birthday as a surprise Helps to prepare/ suggest on the treatment plans
Cons Will suggest to call in or use their messaging/whatsapp instead of email, which would be much faster
Giving the Massage 4.5/5 stars: Pros Professional massage Constantly checking on you to see if you need the massage to be harder or softer per location (limbs, back, shoulder etc) Able to cater to your comfort level (eg not to massage lower limbs due to strains)
Cons Suggest very low pain tolerance customer to inform the staff beforehand and get their suggestion on the treatment to get
*Note: Booked deep tissue massage for dad which is suppose to be more painful. Pain due to work strain and not due the staff issue. Staff did note to be softer and that it is a work strain. Dad feedback that the massage was very professional and he felt more comfortable after the treatment (had tense muscle). We all had a very good night sleep for the past 1 week!
Giving the Location 5/5 stars: Pros Able to reach the mall via MRT (Promenade) or Buses A walking distance to arcade, food court, cinema and karaoke Directly outside of Japanese Food Court where you can get great desserts after treatment Near to several hotel (walking distance or MRT/Bus distance)
Cons NIL
*Note: Stayed in MBS Hotel for the week getaway and picked ThaiSpa due to the great reputation, variety of treatment, service standard and pricing
Giving the Product 5/5 stars: Pros Variety of treatment available Treatment & service worth the price Customizable treatment (mix and match treatment type, eg Aroma Foot Therapy + Royal Thai Massage)
Cons NIL
*Noted: While planning for the getaway, I note that there is a variety of store nearby with different pricing range. I have compared the price and reviews of all nearby MBS Hotel spa/ massage. I strongly suggest to try ThaiSpa cos their everything is worth the pricing range. They also have package version if you are looking for a more cost-saving choice. You also get the great service standard and great variety of...
Read moreWent with girlfriend to experience this Thai Spa raved by one of our friends. She hinted me that the package price $198 for an hour of massage + a 15 min jacuzzi in a couple room is an ideal birthday gift, so i told her lets give it a try. Initially she booked a 3PM slot which was confirmed by the staff, which i could make it bc i end work around 1:30PM. However she said the staff overlooked and pushed the timing to 2:30PM instead. Without much choice we agreed to the timing despite having to rush. Having to search for the place in this humongous mall in suntec city, we arrived at 245PM-ish.
Everything was okay, the service by the masseuse was close to perfection, i could tell that their massage skills were well seasoned compared to other massage outlets. After the hour session, we were told by the receptionist that due to us coming late, the jacuzzi will be cancelled. I initially thought my $198 package covered both the massage and jacuzzi use.
I was fine with it honestly, however my girlfriend felt that it wasn’t value for money and being deprived of the 15 minute jacuzzi caused a huge fuss for us.
All in all, 2 stars out of 5 for this thai spa, first and probably the last time i’ll be patronizing this outlet. I felt that the 15 minutes of jacuzzi was the icing on the cake, but being deprived of that made me as a customer feel ripped off. Impression is not well established, 15 minutes for a life time worth...
Read moreI would not recommend. I’ve been here more than a handful of times, and had a wide array of experiences from great massages and really awful ones. The bad experiences do outweigh the good, because I’ve had untrained masseurs who have been quite aggressive with my body - prodding very hard and fast to the point it’s shocking to the muscles that they tense and lock. When asked to do deep long strokes, some masseurs do not understand this, looking puzzled. What made it clear that the place employs untrained masseurs, was during my latest visit, she applied direct pressure to my knees while stretching me - it’s such a fragile joint and very vulnerable to injuries. I yelped in pain, and she backed off with the pressure - but still it should have never been done in the first place. She didn’t even say sorry or recognised that she had hurt me. The area around my knee is still sore, it could have been worse if I didn’t engage my muscles out of shock. It’s unprofessional for a massage parlour to employee untrained masseurs whose technique hurt clients, and can potentially cause injuries. I don’t like leaving bad reviews, but in this case I do feel people need to be aware of the risk of being...
