Complaint about poor customer service at La Tendo (small store)
Iâve tried to let it go, and Iâve spent hours processing what happened. But even after 6 hours, I still feel upset â not out of emotion, but because I truly cannot accept such rude behavior from the female staff member. Her actions were inappropriate and unprofessional, and no customer deserves to be treated that way.
I would like to file a complaint regarding the poor service I received at the small La Tendo store. The shop is run by two women, and the service was especially disappointing from the woman who wears glasses.
I am from overseas and have visited this store multiple times during my stay here. On my first visit, when I was paying, the woman with glasses spoke to me as if she didnât want to serve me, with a rude tone and attitude. I let it go, trying to understand that sometimes people may behave unintentionally.
However, today is my last day here, and I visited the store twice. On my second visit, the moment I walked in, that same woman let out a loud sigh, clearly showing annoyance that my friend and I had entered. This action was very intentional, and I am certain I did not imagine it. My friend and I looked at each other and we both felt the same way. As a result, we decided to walk out of the store immediately.
Meanwhile, the staff member casually walked around, kicking her feet and playing with her phone, clearly not caring at all about us. I find this behavior unacceptable. I swear I have never had any conflict with anyone, and I am confident that I have never treated her in a way that would warrant such rude behavior in return.
My friend and I decided to go to the larger La Tendo store instead. There, we were served by two male staff members who were extremely polite and provided excellent service â a complete contrast to the woman at the smaller store. Her behavior made me feel as if I had come to ask for money instead of spending it.
After looking at other reviews, I noticed that many people have had similar experiences. I am genuinely surprised that she has been working there for so long despite treating customers so poorly. Even if she lacks empathy, at the very least she should have a sense of service. I donât expect a smile â just donât treat me like Iâm a burden. Iâm simply a customer trying to buy something I like, spending my own money in your store.
I came here because I read that it was the largest branch, but after this experience, I will never return, nor will I recommend it to anyone. If the management sees this, I hope you take serious note of this employeeâs rude behavior. If she wants to act like that, she can do it somewhere else â not right in front...
   Read morePossibly one of the best place to look for Anime-related products. It is a large shop but has tight corners because it is jammed pack with anime products, and they also have popular Kujis.
Definitely deserve 6 out of 5 stars when it comes to range of offerings, as they also include sales of 2nd hand and many otherwise difficult to find anime products.
I took 1 star off because I would still advise you to do basic price research before you purchase. While I would say 90% of their catalog is reasonably priced (and they do have a membership programme that you should sign up for better pricing), there are some items that I have found to be significantly higher than other places, and on occasions twice as costly ($25 vs $13).

I tried purchasing the tickets one by one, thinking I had to pay before opening each one. When I got to the third ticket, the staff asked if it was really my final oneâonly then did I find out that I could open multiple tickets without paying first. (Provided nobody is behind q-ing)
