this is a fantastic place to come buy fruit and veg. the market comprises of individual sellers, each in their own floorspace. each sells what they are stocking that day. some stores have a distinctive product range; some focus more on fruit, some on veg, some on some of the more exotic african produce.

prices can vary slightly from store to store. as such, it pays to walk through the market to find the best price for what you're looking for. note that ripe fruit (esspecially avo) is cheaper than slightly green fruit. take this into account. it's not worth buying a slightly cheaper box of apples for the family, and then have them go off before they are all eaten.

what you can expect to buy is a large variety of fruit in fairly generously-sized boxes. it may be a good idea to come with a friend who wants to share. season-dependant, one can expect to find apples (various varieties), apples, oranges, naartjies, pineapple, watermelon, paw paw, bananas, avo, grapes (red and white) and more.

there is also a large variety of veg from butternut to potato to sweet potato to lettuce to... there are plenty of photos on this review to give you an idea.

it's better to come earlier in the morning on the weekends to get the best produce, as the best sells first. note that the various vendors close when they feel their day is done. come too late in the morning on a saturday or sunday and the number of open vendors will be significantly less.

some vendors take cash only, but most of them take card.

this is a new facility built to house the old informal hawkers from just down the road and it is a huge improvement. there are toilets too, and they are...

Epping Paradise Hawkers Market is truly a paradise for fruit lovers! The variety of fresh fruits available here is amazing, and the prices are unbeatable. One of my absolute favorites is the grapes 🍇, they are incredible! I bought a whole box for just R120, and it took me about three weeks. That’s the best part, most of the fruits come in boxes, which makes them last even longer.

If you’re a fruit person like me, this is the perfect place to shop. You can find so many different fruits at very good and convenient prices. Whether you’re looking for grapes, apples, oranges, or bananas, everything is fresh and affordable. The quality is excellent, and buying in bulk means you always have fruit on hand.

The market is well organized, and the vendors are friendly. If you love fruits and want great deals, definitely come down to Epping Paradise Hawkers Market it lives up to its name!...
