One of my all-time favourite Jozi markets! The Field Market is a well organised, wholesome, monthly family orientated market on the 2nd Saturday of each month. There’s plenty of parking as well as pony rides, a play park & jungle gyms, free games for the children as well as paid activities such as ceramic painting to keep little hands occupied. Bring along your socialised family dog on a leash too, there are watering stations and even poop bags if you’ve forgotten to bring some. I recommend a sun hat and a picnic blanket or camping chairs so that you can really relax while enjoying the local live music while feasting on a wide variety of delicious food and artisanal beverages on offer. To quench your thirst, you’ll find freshly squeezed lemonade, Rooibos lemon iced tea, old fashioned ginger beer, tequila slushies, craft beer, cocktails, G&T, wine, bubble tea, water and an assortment of commercial drinks too. There are so many lovely stalls to browse to find that perfect gift for every occasion. It’s an all-in-one family day out complete with shopping, feasting, entertainment, fresh air and sunshine amongst the trees, in this setting,...

The Field Market is an exquisitely organized affair. There aren't a massive number of stalls, but they certainly have quality and variety. It's been a long time since I thought "Oooh, I want want that one" with every second step. On the food and drink side, I would definitely recommend an Uber. There's a lot of great booze, excellent food, and live music for a Saturday lunch with your mates. I had a burger from Wagyu Bros. and it was fantastic. The market is super-kid friendly and dog friendly (leash essential), with watering stations for pets. They happen to have the coolest jungle gym of any park in Jozi and there are loads of activities and games to entertain the lil' ones. Your kids...

What a lovely morning we had at Field Market! I especially want to compliment the security and parking staff who were very kind and helpful. The market has a wide variety of stalls and items to choose from. Fresh produce, sourdough bread, flowers, art, textiles, leather, beeswax and honey products, jewellery, furniture, bird feeders, icecream, sweets & desserts, the list goes on. We had curry and pancakes at the food section - delicious. The live music was very good too. I especially enjoyed Mike the Guitarman's mellow take on reggae - Johnny B. Goode was my favourite. Will definitely support Field...

We attended the Field Market for the first time. It was a lovely experience, and I was thoroughly impressed. The event was exceptionally well organized, with ample parking available for visitors. There were numerous stalls offering a variety of products. Also an array of delicious food options and drink stalls. One of the highlights was that the market was dog-friendly, even had water bowls scattered throughout for our furry friends. Limited seating was available, I would recommend bringing a blanket or chairs. Overall, it was an excellent experience.
