Nice To Meat You — Local services in Gauteng

We went to Nice to Meat You today, because of a previous positive experience. Today was the opposite. I had the impression of skimpiness (we were a group of 6 and the bowls with food were barely enough for five people) and although the sweet potatoes were amazing, the meat today was not of a high quality - definitely not what we expected based on our previous experience and not good value for money. It will be hard to convince us to return to this restaurant. The price of the meal compared to what we were served today is not justifiable. Hopefully this was a once-off disappointment and not the trend. UPDATE: The proprietor of Nice to Meat You, Katryn Painter, reached out to us and asked if we would allow them to make it up to us. On 11 June my wife and I went to have lunch at Nice to Meat you. Not only did they make up for the previous experience, but they exceeded our expectations by far. (Is it possible to give a restaurant more than five stars?) The food was excellent. The dessert was excellent. The cappuccinos were excellent. The service, the atmosphere - everything was perfect. And to top it all, the chef, Andrew, visited our table to enquire about our verdict. Thank you Katryn. You've won us back as loyal customers. We look forward to...

Had my 50th birthday party at Nice to Meat You. From day 1, viewing the venue a month before the party, to the actual day, communication was fantastic. Roux and Kartryn made sure that everything was organised exactly according to my very detailed requirements list and they ended up ensuring nothing was out of place.

The staff looking after us on the evening are to be commended for their friendliness and super efficiency. I never once had to look for a waiter to re-fill my glass, whenever I looked, my empty glass was full again. Compliments to the chef, who obviously takes major pride in his work, as the food was superb. Each and every guest commented on how amazing it was.

Do yourselves a favour and try both the Lemon Parmesan Chicken and the Honey Pork Neck. Not to even mention the Malva pudding, the best I've ever tasted. Thanks a mill to all at Nice to Meat You for making my 50th a night...
