Update 2: it's 10 days later and I am still sick. The Dr had to put me on an antibiotic. I cannot eat and my tummy keeps running. The Dr suspects e-coli.
Update: it is 2 days later, my tummy is still running. I've been to the bathroom 3 times already and it's 02:30 in the morning. Every time I go, someone is either vomiting of having diarrhea in the ladies bathroom. I'm sure almost everyone here has now got the tummy bug except the newbies. I will not be returning to this camp site again. Today the main Beach was also closed, due to the water quality.
The caravan park itself is nice and situated on the beach but there is a tummy bug going around. Many people getting sick. The managers sent a message out to say their water is fine but I don't agree. Our entire group got sick and I spoke to many people in the bathroom who were getting sick. A local pharmacist told me there is always a tummy bug at the caravan park. They are also strict in terms of what you may bring. We wanted to bring our kids ride on car and were not allowed to however there were others who were allowed electronic scooters and golf carts which are very much the same. Other than that, the cleaners are good, they clean the bathrooms often. But still, the tummy big is prevailing here. The coffee is at the shop is good. Also, I would not swim at the main beach. The lagoon smells of poo. The water is very brown. They apparently do test for e-coli and state that it's fine to swim but just passing through the lagoon will lead to your costume going brown and...
Β Β Β Read moreJust wanted to say that, everything about this place is stunning except the management and some regular people living there who seem to form a type of snobbish "click", complaining and acting as if the whole park belongs to them... The actual reason why I would not recommend going here, is if you are a dog owner as we are of a highly trained and well mannered border collie, who is like our child and comes everywhere with us, we arrived on Sunday after prior arrangement made that we can bring our border collie with only to be to told by management the next morning that we must leave their premises as they do not allow big dogs!!! We were only staying for 4 days and she (border collie) never leaves our side and does not bother anyone, still we were forced to pack everything up and find another more amenable, more sensible place to stay, thanks to our neighbours who helped us find another place quickly. My point is, that the management is very inflexible and seem to be unable to use their own judgement of certain circumstances and situations which leaves me thinking that they may not be as caring as what they appear to be. This is a very unfortunate event to have happened but one that is lasting and has ensured that we...
Β Β Β Read moreHave been to this resort once before and enjoyed the experience, however, the latest experience has changed my mind permanently. Arrived Sunday May 18 and set up camp. Monday morning, whilst enjoying our break, we were approached by an unfriendly manager/ supervisor who promptly informed me that our highly trained and obedient border collie was not welcome. His reason, no large dogs allowed. A large dog is 20kg and over. Renza weighs 11 Kg. After protesting, I was then told that he would investigate further. A short while later I was approached by whom I presume to be a higher authority. A (seemingly friendly ) lady (no name introduction offered) who proceeded to tell me that we had to vacate the site. Rules are rules and the maximum allowable weight is 7kg . Come on people, really! And please drop the...
