My favorite peak in Cape Town. You get views of Cape Point, Hangklip and the back of table mountain. Really easy to get to from Ou Kaapse Weg parking area. About a 5 km hike there and back on mostly easy keep track. There are also a lot of interesting single track options off the track. Parking area only opens at sunrise and at about 8 in winter. A little difficult when planning an early morning hike or run.

The hike and all nature has to offer was absolutely beautiful. Being right next to the coast, the wind at the top was extremely strong, almost taking me off my feet. Unfortunately, the trail has not been maintained and I did not feel very safe - I would definitely recommend going in a group with dogs for this one. Otherwise really one to remember. Dog friendly.

It's a lovely easy / moderate hike to Muizenberg Peak from Gate 2 of Silvermine Nature Reserve. Beautiful views with various routes to be taken (paths split, but ultimately meet up at the same point. There's no shady parts, so if it's a hot day take along sunscreen and cap. Hike is suitable for family.

Muizenberg is usually my go to, especially when I don't feel like doing anything serious, So because it's school holiday I thought I'd take some children up to the mountains, Just to experience & get the feel of a different environment, we started at Bailey's Kloof, went up to God's window, St James Peak, explored some caves, and ended off at Muizenberg Peak, we came down Pecks Valley, had a blast! They thoroughly...
