La Manga Club - West Course - Hole 18 Departure — Local services in Cartagena

New investors, so the golf club is doing many improvements. I was afraid to play here due to so many negative reviews, but overall it was all good! I played twice the south course, all was very good and today this west course (really challenging!). They are so different! The grass next to the green is not in a good shape in about 5 wholes, but overall everything looks I guess much better that a year ago. Just hit the ball to the green 😄 Greens are very fast (compared to the greens in south course). Its a great course for a tournament between friends. Narrow fairways, beautiful views, not many bunkers, but a lot of ditches! I lost soooo...

We were 10 guys who booked this trip 6 months before and were really excited about the course. Unfortunately, it did not live up to our expectations.

1. the clubhouse was in poor condition

2. the roads were destroyed like two F12 planes had destroyed them during 2 hours

3. the greens looked like they had been invaded with bombs. The fairway were better than the greens, it was a lottery in puttery

The most fantastic of the 3 courses at La Manga. North and South courses are OK, but West is by far the most challenging of the 3. Almost outside the resort, and in the back hills. Big height difference on some holes, and not 2 holes are alike. Difficult, but with a good portion of course management it is playable. On hole18 you have, as male, to be a long hitter.
