Having owned a house in La Manga now for 6 years, my wife and I thought that we would try Rusticana out with 2 friends. The setting was great and first impressions were good, we were greeted by an attentive and efficient waitress. After that it went progressively downhill. The first course was garlic prawns, completely over cooked. The main course of fish, again the fish was over cooked, with broccoli that was also over cooked. When I asked for replacement broccoli, the second batch was equally over cooked. The waitress explained that it had been cooked 1 hour earlier and would take time to cook a fresh batch!!! Went to La Rusticana for dinner with friends. We were given a warm welcome by friendly staff and seated immediately, we had a reservation. A comprehensive menu with a great variety of choices, it was really difficult to decide. I chose the cod dish for my main course. A beautifully presented piece of cod on a bed of the smoothest mashed potatoes. It tasted really good. Sadly I didn't have room for dessert but finished with one of the best Asiatico coffees I've had. We will certainly be back to try more of...

We found a fantastic restaurant and the google reviews brought us here. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The complimentary potatoes were absolutely delicious, spicy twist. We also enjoyed our favorite wine, Ramon Bilbao, and the staff happily brought us extra asparagus when we asked. Our main dishes were lamb in red wine and pork in a brandy sauce which was cooked to perfection with more amazing potatoes and asparagus. Definitely worth a visit for a lovely...
