La Finca – A Must-Must Visit at La Manga Club!
From the moment you step through the grand doors into the charming courtyard of La Finca, you know you’re in for something special. It’s not just dinner – it’s an experience. You’re warmly welcomed by the delightful Patricia and the effortlessly cool Anna, who instantly make you feel more like an old friend than a guest.
We started our evening in a cozy lounge area with a couple of knockout cocktails (shaken to absolute perfection by Anna – we couldn’t stop at just one). As we sipped, we browsed the thoughtfully curated menu and nibbled on a delicious complimentary canapé – a small taste of the magic to come.
The menu is a food lover’s dream – carefully crafted with something for every palate, yet not overwhelming. Our starters set the bar high: a beautifully tender beef carpaccio and the most heavenly goat’s cheese soufflé paired with a delicate pear salad. That soufflé? Light, fluffy, full of flavor… it honestly deserves a round of applause.
For mains, we went all in – beef cheek, pork belly, and venison. Each dish was a masterclass in comfort and sophistication. The beef cheek was melt-in-the-mouth tender with a gravy so rich and velvety it should come with a warning. The pork belly? That crispy skin was absolute perfection. The venison was cooked flawlessly, and the red cabbage that came with it – I don’t know what wizardry went into it, but it made us grin from ear to ear.
We paired our meal with a mix of red and rosé wines, each sip enhancing the dishes even further. Wine really does make everything better – especially here.
To finish, I went with the Eton Mess, and let me tell you: I’ve had my fair share over the years, but this one, this one wins. Layers of flavor, beautifully balanced – it was the best Eton Mess I’ve had by a Spanish kilometre!
Although we didn’t meet the chefs, their talent speaks for itself. Every plate was a work of art – beautifully presented, packed with flavor, and clearly crafted by masters of their trade. Hats off to the team behind the scenes.
But what truly makes La Finca unforgettable? The people. Anna and Patricia aren’t just hosts – they’re the soul of the place. Their passion, knowledge, and genuine warmth elevate every course and every conversation. You leave not just full, but glowing.

Read morePreviously the “posh dinner” of La Manga, this restaurant has taken a severe nosedive in quality. The last two times we visited, we were sat for over an hour before anyone took a drink order or brought us bread. Despite what the manager claimed was a super busy, understaffed day, the table next to us (sat about 10 minutes after us) managed to get drinks, starters, and mains before we even got the wine list. When we finally managed to place an order, and receive our (nice, albeit slightly cold and definitely overpriced) food, it took another 40 minutes and a member of our party physically flagging down a waiter to get the plates removed, and then a further half an hour to get dessert menus. Honestly, save your time and your money. Even after initially and contemporaneously raising the issue of not getting a menu for an hour, the manager was keen to blame every member of staff instead of apologising. As the meal progressed and the level of service remained unchanged and poor, we began to feel deliberately ignored by the manager. Despite visiting at least 4 times a year every year (we have been members for over 2 decades), we will not be back. I’m not sure if there has been a recent change of management or some other excuse for the appalling service recently, but I am not a serial reviewer, and even I felt compelled to on this occasion. If there was a 0 star option, this review...
Read moreWent with great expectations, Left feeling severely let down.. Booked the table in advance for 8.30pm, but not many diners there, so why did it take 1 hour and 45 minutes from arriving to receiving our meals??.. We felt like leaving at 2 points in the evening, firstly, when the order was taken for the drinks and mine arrived without a mixer, after a period of time I had to reminded the waitress what I ordered.. Secondly, when an empty wine glass was not spotted by the staff to be refreshed.. The food when it did arrive was not up to the standard you would expect from this high class establishment on the prestigious la manga golf resort.. you could say it was...
