This place continues to be a treasure trove of natural, locally sourced produce. The prices at the Mercado del Agricultor are a personal highlight for me. The value for money is exceptional, with avocados priced at just around 1 euro each! "That honey is definitely some of the best naturally produced in the world and a steal compared to what I would pay in a city like London." quips Daniel from El Medano's The Agency. We are on a road trip!

There is a variety of impressive dairy - giving the addictive goat's cheese a mention here - fruits and vegetables. And the quality is high - because we were here last year too and there is little difference. Daniel says it has got even better, packing the vegetables, cheeses, honey, eggs, and wine!

The market can get busy during high season, but the environment always remains comfortable - cozy even. And it is easily accessible, with ample car parking space, and close to a great cafe at the petrol garage, a short walk towards the main road - making market days really convenient for visitors.

Another win-win fact is that the market supports the local economy, including the farmers, and as we know, this contributes to the survival and modernisation of the area's agriculture. And the thing I forgot to mention last time was that, the volcanic properties of the island makes the produce even better, with its rich soil and favourable climate contributing to the quality of the fruits and vegetables.

And though there is always a language barrier anywhere that is not your mother tongue, it is not an issue at the market - 'gestures work just as well.' And even with Daniel's growing Spanish, they still understood his english accent Spanish LOL. Anyway, this place - definitely a must-visit for anyone regenerating their body, mind and spirit. "It's also a joy to have this market just a bus ride away" - Daniel's final word - we hope...road trip now. Thank you, Mercado...

If your into local produce, homemade and home grown, then this is a place for you. A popular farmers market open Saturday and Sunday. Literally just by the round about and next to a petrol station, blink and you'll miss it, don't follow sat nav as it will send you off the beaten track and down some rugged dirt roads in a circle of confusion. It's very cheap and has an abundance of choice with samples too. The Papayas are large and super sweet, the red lettuce and spinach had taste, the avocados were divine, ripe and creamy, cured meats were a treat, let's not forget their various cheeses, breads were fresh but the tarts, cakes and especially the shredded coconut & sugar sweet were delectable. Parking available but snooze and you loose, cash only (bring chamge) and there are...

Cute little warehouse type place where all the locals come and sell their produce. Lots of vegetables at the time we went and not much fruit. Ended up buying bread and pastries that were really good. There were also some handmade items there which were fun. There are bathrooms and the building is located right next to the gas station before going onto the roundabout. Whatever you do, if google maps sends you on a road through the desert, don't do it. It doesn't know what it is...

Mostly bio products, very reasonable prices, you can also get artesanal cheese. Mostly vegetables and fruit but there is meat and fish stands as well. Seasonal products only of course.. ! And local craft art. ♿ Entrance. Car park included. Opening times in pictures

Fantastic place to get local produce at very reasonable prices. Great choice and high quality - variable opening times so check first but if open go out of your way to support local producers
