This is Tenerife's hidden secret. Tucked away down a side street opposite a car showroom. Near to the autopista (San Isidro). As you walk down the street, look up and you'll seen the sign for Tasca La Ventolera. Dark wooden decor, warm light coming out onto the street. Venture inside and you'll be greeted by the waiter, with a smiling face. The menu is small. Which is great. No overload on choice. The food is superb. I'm told this is typical Canarian style food. Mouth watering. We started with bread and a red mojo dip and aioli. Followed by champiñones rellenos con almogrote. Delicious. Then huevo de la Ventolera. Wow. Sumptuous. Carne de fiesta, the meat melted in the mouth, served on a bed of fries (home made style). And for the finalé, quesillo con nata. This was like a traditional egg flan with miel de palma. Beautiful. Sorry, no photo. We ate it too quickly. We went there for our first wedding anniversary and will definitely be back for our second. The waiter is very attentive without being annoying!! The food is served quickly. The place is clean and once inside you could be tucked away in a tiny Canarian village somewhere!! Highly recommended. Although if I tell everyone how good it is I think a new reservation system will have to be put in place.

We had a wonderful time at Tasca La Vemtolera for our last meal in Tenerife. We walked past a few days before and sounded really busy so wanted to give it a try! It did not disappoint was an amazing atmosphere and the food was beautiful! The owner didn't speak English yet helped the best he could with images on a tablet to help, we did use google lens to translate some of the menu. We had fried cheese with blueberry sauce as starter & then Egg Volcanoes & Meat Fiesta for mains. Service we impeccable and the food was delicious! Was great to eat at a local restaurant. The value to is amazing we paid £30 & had: Bread rolls & dip 1 starter 2 mains 2 beers 4 wine An absolute bargain! Ensure to tip!

Excellent restaurant with a very local and Not touristic atmosphere. The service was very nice although one Person who is able to speak spanish is necessary. All of the Food was very delicious. You get Served various kinds of tapas. Also, the have alhambra beer from Granada which I Like very much. All in all, this Location is absolutely worth a visit.

M dicen q no hacen reserva... Y me dicen.
